Selena Gomez recently gave her opinion on a computer-generated cover of The Weeknd’s ‘Starboy’, calling it “scary”. The 31-year-old singer is in the midst of releasing her upcoming album, ‘SG3’, as well as working on the third season of her popular comedy series, Only Murders In The Building.

Selena Gomez has been the victim of an AI hoax earlier in the year, where an AI-generated photo of her at the Met Gala went viral despite her not attending. This photo garnered an incredible 22.9 million views and 395,300 likes, becoming one of the most popular looks of the night.

The idea of artificial intelligence-generated music has been debated throughout the industry, with some people such as Liam Gallagher and Damon Albarn expressing their support for it, and others such as Ed Sheeran and Noel Gallagher voicing their reservations.

An AI-generated song by Drake and The Weeknd called ‘Heart On My Sleeve’ also became popular, gaining 13 million views on TikTok before being removed from music streaming platforms by Universal Music due to its potential to “harm artists”.

Selena Gomez recently dropped her comeback track, ‘Single Soon’, before denying rumours that the song was about her relationship with The Weeknd. She also has a collaboration with Fred Again… in the works. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Selena’s upcoming album, as well as the rest of the third season of her comedy series.
