The idea of artificial intelligence-generated music has been debated throughout the industry, with some people such as Liam Gallagher and Damon Albarn expressing their support for it, and others such as Ed Sheeran and Noel Gallagher voicing their reservations.
An AI-generated song by Drake and The Weeknd called ‘Heart On My Sleeve’ also became popular, gaining 13 million views on TikTok before being removed from music streaming platforms by Universal Music due to its potential to “harm artists”.
Selena Gomez recently dropped her comeback track, ‘Single Soon’, before denying rumours that the song was about her relationship with The Weeknd.
