Danny Elfman’s iconic score for the 1989 film Batman is returning to theatres in a big way. DC in Concert is bringing the iconic score to 14 live symphonic performances across North America and Europe. The tour kicks off in January 2024 in Los Angeles and wraps up in London in May.
Fans will get to relive the film’s classic soundtrack, composed by Danny Elfman, while watching a projection of the original Batman movie. Michael Keaton starred as the titular role and Jack Nicholson played the legendary Joker. Pre-sale tickets go on sale September 13, with a general sale on September 15.
This anniversary tour comes on the heels of the 2020 release of the latest Batman movie, The Batman, starring Robert Pattinson. The NME review of the film noted that “the writers know to break up each exposition session with enough action”, and that an iconic image of Batman emerges from some wreckage and “marches in slow-motion towards the camera”.
DC in Concert’s tour is sure to be a hit for fans of both the film and the music. Audiences will be able to experience Elfman’s iconic score like never before. For more information, tickets can be purchased from the US or London websites. Don’t miss out on this once-in-a-lifetime musical experience.
