Dave Stewart, co-founder of the iconic Eurythmics, has recently launched a new creative collective called The Time Experience Project. The group consists of writers, actors, filmmakers, composers, and performers, all of whom contributed to the upcoming album, ‘Who To Love’. The 10-song rock opera will be released next Friday, October 20, and can already be pre-saved here.
The album’s lyrical content is influenced by the concept of time, and how it can seem to slow down or speed up depending on the individual’s mental state. In order to bring the project to life, Stewart wrote and starred in a long-form video that will premiere at the Rome Film Festival on October 19. Italian TV, stage, and film actress Greta Scarano and the legendary Italian band Mokadelic also appear in the video.
The project’s debut single is ‘Brings Me Home’, a song about the power of genuine love and how something as simple as holding someone’s hand can make us feel at home. Stewart says that, in this ever-changing world, it is essential to take the time to make meaningful connections with others.
The full tracklist for ‘Who To Love’ is: ‘Time Is A Masterpiece’, ‘Electrified’, ‘Not The Sweetest Taboo’, ‘Brings Me Home’, ‘Diamond Eyes’, ‘Who To Love’, ‘Time Flies’, ‘Talk To Me’, ‘Human’, and ‘Surrender’.
Earlier this year, Eurythmics celebrated the 40th anniversary of their hit single ‘Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)’. Singer Annie Lennox said of the milestone: “It has continued to travel the world and the seven seas ever since, which is a wonderful and miraculous story all to itself!”
With the Time Experience Project, Dave Stewart appears to be recreating this miracle, as he embarks on a new journey that is sure to be filled with musical and creative magic.
