Ghetts has just released his first single in two years, ‘Laps’, featuring the incredible South African singer Moonchild Sanelly. The track is the opening song to his upcoming fourth studio album, ‘On Purpose With Purpose’, which is set to be released in January next year.

Produced by TenBillion Dreams, the single is a testament to Ghetts’ lyrical ability and shows off his impressive production skills. Moonchild Sanelly’s echo-y harmonies add an extra layer of emotion to the single, and make it a memorable experience for listeners.

The artwork for ‘Laps’ and ‘On Purpose With Purpose’ was created by Slawn, the designer of the 2023 BRIT Award. The artwork features the letters “GIIG” spray-painted in gold, which stands for Ghetts’ own label and brand “Glory Is In God”.

A press release has promised that the upcoming LP will “continue the ongoing artistic evolution and unstoppable rise of one of the UK’s greatest rappers”, and that Ghetts will be expanding his sonic palette with the album.

Ghetts has also announced four UK live shows for March 2024, with tickets going on sale this Friday (October 27) at 9am BST. In the meantime, Ghetts has also been featured in the UK cypher at this year’s BET Hip-Hop Awards, and was the surprise guest at cHIP sHOP and Hennessey’s celebration of Hip-Hop 50 and Black British History Month.

Ghetts’ upcoming album is sure to be one of the hottest releases of 2021. Be sure to check out ‘Laps’ and keep an eye out for ‘On Purpose With Purpose’, releasing January 5th via Warner Records.
