Lucy Rose has returned with her first new single in four years – ‘Could You Help Me’. The jazz-pop fusion track has been eagerly awaited by fans, and it is accompanied by an intimate show announcement at London’s Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club.

The singer’s latest single touches on parenthood and new challenges, and it is an extension of her 2019 LP ‘No Words Left’. Rose explains that it was inspired by her struggles with severe back pain after having her son Otis, which she was repeatedly dismissed for by medical professionals. Despite the pain, she was able to find a creative outlet by playing the piano for a few minutes at a time, and it helped to lift her spirits.

This one-off show at the Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in Soho will mark her return to London since her sold-out show at the Barbican back in December 2019. Tickets are set to go on general sale on Monday, October 30 at 10am local time.

Rose has also released two standalone songs – ‘Question It All’ and ‘White Car’ – which were recorded at the end of 2019. Initially, they were meant to be released in December to tie in with her show at the Barbican, but she felt that the lyrics didn’t quite match her feelings.

The singer-songwriter has long been celebrated for her poignant, candid lyrics, and her fans are sure to enjoy her latest offering. Be sure to grab your tickets for the Ronnie Scott’s show on October 30th to experience ‘Could You Help Me’ live.
