Nick Oliveri, the former bassist of Queens Of The Stone Age, is set to release two new compilations of tracks that span his career. Titled ‘N.O. Hits At All Vols.8’ and ‘N.O. Hits At All Vols.9’, both albums are out on January 19 via Heavy Psych Sounds.

The musician has unveiled the opening song off Vol. 8, titled ‘Chains and Shackles’. The track was a 2010 collaboration with the iconic guitarist Slash and now receives an official release on Oliveri’s compilation album. ‘Chains and Shackles’ was produced by Eric Valentine, who previously produced Queens Of The Stone Age’s 2002 album ‘Songs For The Deaf’.

Both compilations include unreleased material from various bands and solo projects the musician has been involved with over the years. This includes Mondo Generator, Death Acoustic, Dead End America and others.

The tracklist for ‘N.O. Hits At All Vols.8’ includes the aforementioned ‘Chains and Shackles’, ‘Truth Is Stranger Than Fiction’, ‘I’m Not Dead’, ‘Back Off Boogaloo’, ‘The Lords Are Here To Ride’, ‘She Wanted To Leave’ and ‘Outlaw Scumfuc’.

‘N.O. Hits at All Vol. 9’ features ‘Death March’, ‘Blast Off’, ‘Twitter Troll’, ‘Up Against The Void’, ‘Blow Up The Embassy’, ‘Road Warrior’, ‘Conspiracy’, ‘Consider Me’, and ‘Take Aim’.

Olivieri was fired from Queens Of The Stone Age in 2004 by frontman Josh Homme, after the bassist was accused of disrespecting the band’s fans. However, the two have since reconciled and Oliveri joined QOTSA on-stage in 2014 for the first time in 10 years.

The bassist has been announced as a headliner for HellFest 2024, alongside Foo Fighters, Royal Blood and Megadeth. Fans can pre-order the albums now and should be sure to check out the new track ‘Chains and Shackles’.
