K-Pop girl group FIFTY FIFTY is set to make a comeback with a brand new line-up of four members. The news was revealed by their agency Attrakt, who shared that they have recruited three new members to form the group.
The group first made their debut in November 2022 with their mini-album ‘The Fifty’, and gained international fame with their single ‘Cupid’ in February 2023, which went viral on TikTok. However, in June 2023, all four original members filed to suspend their exclusive contracts with Attrakt, claiming that the agency had violated terms of their contract.
Reports from Korea JoongAng Daily revealed that the producer of ‘Cupid’, Ahn Sung-il, had sued Attrakt CEO Oscar Chun for defamation, alleging that Chun “continuously made defamatory allegations without evidence against Ahn Sung-il […] through various media outlets since the dispute”.
The Seoul Central District Court rejected the group’s request to suspend their contracts in August, though they immediately appealed the decision. Last month, rapper Keena withdrew her appeal and returned to the agency, leading to the announcement of the group’s new line-up.
It is not yet known when FIFTY FIFTY will make their comeback, but with the new line-up, K-Pop fans are sure to be eagerly awaiting their return. The new members of the group are yet to be revealed, but with the agency’s announcement, it won’t be long before we find out who will be joining Keena in the quartet.
