Pop singer Dua Lipa took to the streets of London with a small crew and surprise her fans with the first listen of her upcoming single ‘Houdini’. She stood in front of the BBC building with a mirrorball, a banner that read “Congratulations, you are the first person to hear Dua Lipa’s brand new song” and flags of purple, green, and blue. Fans were able to listen to the track on her phone while wearing headphones.

The ‘Dance The Night’ singer’s new single is set to arrive on Thursday (November 9th) and will be celebrated with three special “surprise launch events” held around the world this month. The track was produced by Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, who is credited for playing bass guitar, providing backing vocals, and composing the track.

Dua Lipa has been teasing the new album with snippets shared to her YouTube channel and fans began to speculate a new era could be on the way after she wiped her Instagram profile earlier this year. Mark Ronson also heard some of the album and described it as “incredible”. In addition, Lipa recently acquired the rights to her catalogue of songs in a deal with her previous publishers, TAP Music.

The eagerly anticipated single and the album it is featured on are sure to be a hit with fans of Dua Lipa. Listeners can look forward to the release of the single and more information about the new album as it becomes available.
