Azealia Banks has issued an apology to Lizzo following her comments about the singer’s body and image, while also calling Troye Sivan an “expired twink.” On Sunday, November 5th, Banks took to Instagram to express her remorse for her previous comments and to apologize. In the past, Banks had made some negative remarks about Lizzo’s hit song ‘Truth Hurts’ and her live show, suggesting that the media was only promoting the singer because of her size and that she was being used as a “millennial mammy of sorts.”

Banks then went on to target rapper Busta Rhymes, making comments about his age, weight, and looks, while accusing him of abusing anabolic steroids and having adrenal gland failure. Her tirade continued with Troye Sivan, after the ‘Rush’ singer publicly praised her 2011 hit ‘212’. She then went on to insult Sivan, saying that he was a “late condescending expired twink,” and that “puberty hit that ass and made u a doofy looking young man.” This is not the first time Banks has insulted Sivan, as he said in 2018 that he wanted to collaborate with her, but had conflicting feelings about it.

Troye Sivan recently released his first album in five years, ‘Something to Give Each Other’. In a five-star review, NME praised the album’s celebration of Sivan’s sexuality, as well as its appreciation for the highs and lows of life. The review stated that the album is a “strikingly vital pop album charged with love, lust, sweat and regret”.

Fans of music can look forward to the release of Sivan’s album, as well as the possibility of a collaboration between him and Banks in the future.
