Sam Smith’s vocal cords are on the mend after a series of cancellations due to vocal issues. The ‘Unholy’ singer recently updated their fans on Instagram, saying that after a week of rest their vocal cords were “looking good” and that they would be “ok for the rest of the shows”.
The Unholy singer had to cancel shows in Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow due to the vocal issues. Smith took to Instagram to apologize to those who had bought tickets. “I’m still so sorry for everyone who missed out on the show, these things are completely out of my control,” they wrote.
The tour was in celebration of Smith’s latest LP, ‘Gloria’. Reviews of the album have been incredibly positive, with NME hailing the release as “Smith’s most vital work to date”. The review concluded that the record was “a personal exploration of the broader queer experience”.
