Elton John finished off his last ever UK show with a bang at Glastonbury Festival on June 25th. He called on The Killers frontman Brandon Flowers to join him on stage for a special rendition of Tiny Dancer. Elton recalled meeting Brandon for the first time in 2005 and said that since then they have been good friends.

The star-studded show also featured other performances by Rina Sawayama, who joined John for Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, Jacob Lusk and the London Community Gospel Choir to perform Are You Ready For Love and 20 year old Nashville-based songwriter Stephen Sanchez who sang Until I Found You with John.

Yusuf/Cat Stevens paid tribute to George Harrison with a cover of The Beatles’ Here Comes The Sun during his Legends’ Slot performance. Sophie Ellis-Bextor opened the Pyramid Stage but fans were disappointed that the set was not live-streamed. Japanese Breakfast had to cancel her 12:30pm set at The Other Stage due to travel delays and was replaced by Eaves Wilder.

Lil Nas X gave an “incredible” performance on the Pyramid Stage before Elton John took the stage. It was a fitting close to the final day of Glastonbury 2023. Check out all the latest from the festival here.
