Machine Gun Kelly recently surprised fans at Madrid’s Mad Cool Festival with his rendition of Don Omar’s 2010 hit, ‘Danza Kuduro’. The artist, known for his transition from rap to punk-rock, demonstrated his diverse musical range in front of the crowd.

The pop-punk star delivered an energetic and passionate performance that had the crowd singing and dancing along. Kelly expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he received in Spain, saying “I can feel all the love here today.” Don Omar himself gave his approval for the performance, commenting a ‘rock on’ and flame emoji on a clip of the moment shared on Instagram.

At another recent show, Machine Gun Kelly made a fan’s dream come true when he punched him in the face as requested. The rapper had read a sign from the crowd saying ‘I just came from Mexico 4 u 2 punch me in the face’ and decided to grant the fan’s wish.

In 2020, Machine Gun Kelly opened up about his switch to rock music in an interview with NME. He talked about the way the internet tried to make a meme out of him and explained that he had been jumping up and down on the table believing in himself for a long time.

MGK recently released his newest single ‘Pressure’, a return to rap sound. He debuted the track at London’s Royal Albert Hall, joined onstage by Halsey and James Arthur. This performance showed that Machine Gun Kelly is a true master of his craft, no matter the genre.
