Jack White has recently taken to social media to call out Mark Wahlberg and Mel Gibson for their association with former US President, Donald Trump. During the UFC 290 event in Las Vegas over the weekend, the two actors were spotted chatting with the notorious leader.

The former White Stripes singer and guitarist shared images of the actors conversing with Trump, and expressed his distaste for those who “normalize” or treat the leader with “any level of respect”. Jack White also mentioned podcast host Joe Rogan and celebrity chef Guy Fieri as other individuals who have associated with Trump.

White also mentioned his disapproval of social media platform Twitter for reinstating Trump’s account after it was banned in the aftermath of the US Capitol attack. He condemned Twitter’s owner Elon Musk for the decision and called it “absolutely disgusting”.

Mark Wahlberg has met Trump in the past, as part of a celebrity golf tournament over a decade ago. The actor remembered the meeting as “Donald Trump-like”, with the former president talking about his businesses and interests without asking Wahlberg any personal questions.

In comparison, Jason Sudeikis has recently revealed that Trump inspired him to make changes to his character of Ted Lasso.

Jack White’s opinion is clear – those who associate with the former president are “also disgusting” in his book. With his criticism of those who associate with Trump, White joins many others in the music industry who have spoken out against the leader.
