100 Gecs have announced the cancellation of their 2023 UK and European tour and the music duo is apologizing to their fans. Dylan Brady and Laura Les, the two members of the band, had previously planned a 14-date tour across the UK and Europe which was set to start in October.

On Tuesday (July 11), the duo took to Twitter to confirm the cancellation and issued a statement that read: “To our fans in Europe: we’re sorry to cancel our upcoming shows, but we’re physically and mentally worn out. We’ll be back soon.”

The tour would have seen them perform in Berlin, Italy, France, Netherlands, Belgium, and Ireland before wrapping up in Manchester, UK. But for now, fans will have to miss out on seeing them live.

However, the band will still be playing a few live shows in Australia, New Zealand and Japan in the coming weeks. Plus, they will also be opening for the newly announced Boygenius show at the Hollywood Bowl on Halloween.

Their new album, ‘10,000 Gecs’, has received critical acclaim and has been described by NME as “insanely fun and impressively ambitious”. The album has been praised for its short and sweet run-time and its turbulent flurry of punches.

So, for now, fans of 100 Gecs will have to wait to get their chance to see the band live. But, until then, they can listen to their new album and keep an eye out for more live dates!
