Kanye West has made headlines again, this time for his childhood home replica model being put up for auction. The replica model was used for the rapper’s long-awaited ‘Donda 2’ album and was last seen by fans at a listening party in Miami, Florida in February of last year. The Levy Recovery Group is managing the auction, which is scheduled to take place on October 2.
The house is 900 square feet in size and includes both crosses from the tour. It’s currently broken down into pieces in a Chicago warehouse, but the winning bidder can have it reassembled for a fee. Fans can even make pre-auction offers for the replica model.
The replica house was also used in other listening parties for ‘Donda’ in Chicago and Atlanta in 2021. The ‘Donda 2’ album, however, still remains unreleased, with West claiming that his record label blocked the release of one of the tracks, ‘Jail, Pt. 2’.
The rapper has been making waves recently, not only for his auction but also for his “White Lives Matter” stunt. He also wiped his Twitter account clean just days after being re-instated by Elon Musk, and was previously banned from the platform three times due to his controversial tweets.
Fans of Kanye West and his music have the chance to own a piece of his history by participating in the replica house auction. It’s sure to be a unique experience for the winning bidder.
