Amy Taylor of Amyl and The Sniffers to be a Guest Judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under

Amy Taylor, the lead vocalist of the Australian punk band Amyl and the Sniffers, is set to take the seat of a guest judge in the upcoming season of RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under. The third season of the show premiered on July 28, and her episode is yet to be announced.

The singer shared a photo of herself on the judging panel on her Instagram page and expressed her excitement. “Sooo fikin excited to be a guest judge on Ru Paul’s Drag Race Down under’s the new season 🥰 airing now but my episode is yet to come out,” she wrote.

The show will also feature guest judges Adam Lambert, Keiynan Lonsdale, and Rachel Hunter in the upcoming episodes.

The band recently made their appearance at the Smashing Pumpkins’ music and wrestling festival, ‘The World Is A Vampire’. NME praised the band’s performance writing that they “rip through bangers” with an “fierce and relentless energy”. Frontwoman Amy Taylor was particularly praised for her exciting performance.

The band has long been heralded as one of the most promising punk bands in Australia. Billy Corgan, the frontman of Smashing Pumpkins, predicted that in 20 years, Amyl will be “the biggest band in the world”.
