Trivium frontman Matt Heafy has unveiled an all new track entitled ‘Wielder of the Plague’ to accompany the highly anticipated shooter Remnant 2. An edited version of the song is currently available alongside a new accolades trailer, and the full song will be released on Gearbox Publishing’s official YouTube channel soon.
Heafy, an avid gamer, has expressed his enthusiasm for the project stating “I am so excited – honoured – privileged –and thankful to say I’ve been asked to compose some music inspired by Remnant 2 for the promotion of the game. I can’t wait for you to hear this.”
Remnant 2, developed by Gunfire Games, has been met with great success and has sold over one million units across PC, Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 since its launch. This has resulted in a passionate fanbase that showed their dedication when they unearthed a new character class through datamining the game.
Trivium recently wrapped up their European tour but Heafy will be continuing his journey through the world of Remnant 2 through a series of livestreams. Also, Gunfire Games has acknowledged the fans’ requests for cross play and is actively working to deliver it.
