Japanese K-pop idol Sana, of the popular girl group TWICE, has been revealed as the newest ambassador of the iconic Italian luxury fashion house Prada.
The announcement was made at the Prada Mode event in Seoul on September 7th, where Sana was in attendance. This was the first time the brand has named her as an ambassador, although she has collaborated with them in the past and been featured in campaigns. She joins NCT’s Jaehyun and Sweet Home actor Song Kang as the latest Korea-based ambassadors of Prada. Sana is also set to attend Prada’s Milan Fashion Week show in the coming month.
Other celebrities in attendance at the Prada Mode event include actors Lee Jae-wook, Koo Kyo-hwan, Chun Woo-hee, Shin Ye-eun and Korean-American model and fashion influencer Irene Kim. Sana shared several photos of the event on her Instagram page, which were taken with her fans.
The TWICE girls recently completed their world tour, including legs in Australia, North America and Europe. The girl group additionally announced new tour dates in Jakarta, Mexico City, Sao Paulo and Melbourne, which will be their first stadium performance in Australia.
In addition, TWICE’s leader and main vocalist Jihyo made her solo debut last month with her mini-album ‘Zone’. The album was led by the single ‘Killin’ Me Good’, and includes six other tracks such as ‘Nightmare’ which Jihyo had been previewing during the world tour. TWICE’s fans, known as ONCEs, have been eagerly awaiting the group’s return and were delighted with the concert in Singapore.
Sana’s role as Prada ambassador is a testament to the success of TWICE, who have gone from strength to strength in the K-pop industry. With the new tour dates and solo project from Jihyo, the future is looking brighter than ever for the girl group.
