Paris Jackson has released a new single titled ‘Hit Your Knees’, which was co-written and produced with Linda Perry as part of her EqualizeHer program. The two met at a live event in October 2022, and the song is Jackson’s second new track of 2023 following February single ‘Bandaid’.
Jackson expressed her enthusiasm for the music, saying: “This is the type of music I used to dream of making myself when I was 14 discovering Nirvana and Pixies for the first time.” She also expressed her vulnerability in ‘Bandaid’, adding: “Lyrically it’s the most raw and vulnerable I’ve ever been in any of my songs.”
Paris Jackson released her debut solo album ‘Wilted’ in 2020, and received praise from fans and critics alike. NME gave the album a positive review, noting that it “feels caught between the twee folksy pop of Paris Jackson’s previous releases with The Soundflowers and the bewildering alt-rock icon she may become.”
In 2022, Jackson released a three-track EP titled ‘The Lost’. She continues to deliver powerful music and fans are eager to hear what else she has in store.
